Alchemical Journaling in Community

7 weeks to restore the magic in your life.

Alchemical Journaling?

🔮

Alchemical Journaling? 🔮

A little mystical. A lot practical.

Today’s world runs on over-performing and over-perfecting for others.

This course is your permission to pick up a journal and make something for yourself. Messy, gorgeous, transformational pages that turn everyday moments into a record you'll treasure for decades.

“Because of Erin and her class, I found the color in my life. It has been extremely cathartic and igniting to the creative part of me that I forgot about living in a world of spreadsheets and email.”

The journal you need to restore the magic in your life.

This course lives in the space between an art class and a reawakening.

At its core, it's a return to your self-expression — enjoying creativity that brings insight, personal strength, and authentic connection to yourself and those around you.

How I Got Here

🫀

How I Got Here 🫀

I spent 15 years in corporate tech before journaling brought me back to myself.

Now I teach the practice that got me through the hardest parts to people who feel something dimming inside them.

I'll tell you more about my story later. First, let's talk about whether this is for you.

“Erin’s powerful gifts of creativity and presence just transmute and make way for others to make breakthroughs.”

Doctor's Office Painting

How journaling restored the magic in my life

“When was the last time you felt like yourself?" My doctor asked me. That moment, during a routine checkup in 2023, put words to the heaviness in my chest and my heart.

I’d spent 15 years in corporate tech. I had a resume with impressive company names. A salary that offered me financial stability. But I was feeling disconnected from my vitality. My spark was dimmed.

Journal entry where I honor the extent of my grief from burnout.

A typical week was an endless stream of context-switching and performative meetings. Then couch-rotting until the Sunday Scaries set in, and it started all over again.

I thought about his question.

When was the last time I felt like myself?

It was when I expressed myself without performing.

It was in my journal.

“No one tells you this absurdity: sometimes you can fake it, somewhat make it, only to realize you don’t even want to be there.

—Kat Koh, Be the Hollow Bone

Journal entry where I realize the more I cry, the more money I made.

Expressive Journal

My journals are where I make the invisible visible. Through color, shape, words, or a combination of all three. Whatever wants to come through me.

I once satisfied my urge to express loathing of a banal meeting using pencil shavings and masking tape.

The pages don’t need to be profound.

They’re just for me.

And like rings inside a tree, they hold everything I've moved through — the mundane, the towering, and everything between.

My pages are a passport to my evolution.

Things I’ve journaled about and learned over the last decade.

The shift from corporate tech to teaching started with a phone call.

A longtime friend had been reading about how our attention is constantly being stolen from us — and I realized that's exactly what my journal gave me back. She reminded me how much she loved my pages.

I thought about it.

Maybe this is something I could teach?

If we don’t rev our creative engine regularly, something inside us withers.”

—Chase Jarvis, Creative Calling

Journal entry where I combine color with intuitive words and self portrait.

Cloud Rainbow

Today, I teach people the alchemical journaling practice I've developed over the last decade. One that has brought me back home to myself again and again.

I do this slowly, intentionally. In small groups.

Because being witnessed by others without the pressure to perform and be evaluated is the most healing thing I know.

Class is limited to 12 people.

What Students Are Saying

What Students Are Saying ✨

So much has shifted in such a short period of time. I went from pages of only words written with one mechanical pencil to pages of colors, shapes and phrases.

I carry this journal with me all over the house. It’s helping me process a lot that I struggle to find words for.

After class was finished, I felt uplifted, inspired, and my creative juices were flowing. I'm trying different types of typography, using watercolor, expressing my emotions more vividly.

Your examples, as always, are SO inspiring. The opportunity to play and create with your prompts gave me so many experiences I hadn’t had before.

For a beginner, it was like a shortcut to creativity, with the benefit of being in a supportive community and not relying on my own ideas to get started.

The energy and care the instructor brings to creating a safe space to express and learn from others is part of what makes this experience so transformative.
